On Xbox Series X, Fortnite will run at 4K 60 FPS and offer a more interactive experience where grass and trees will respond to explosions. The game will also feature enhanced effects for smoke and liquids along with new storm and cloud effects. Fortnite will run at 1080p 60 FPS on Xbox Series S and come with most of the visual enhancements that are available on the Series X. Load times will be significantly reduced and split screen will support 60 FPS gameplay on both consoles.
Similar to the Series X, Fortnite will come with 4K 60 FPS gameplay, enhanced visuals, reduced load times, and 60 FPS support in split screen for PS5. The haptic feedback on DualSense controller will make the game even more immersive. Players can pin their favourite game mode in PS5’s Activities, which will allow them to hop directly into it.
Fortnite supports crossplay and cross-gen progression and the game will be giving away Throwback Axe Pickaxe to all players from November 4. This default pickaxe from Fortnite Chapter 1 will be available until January 15, 2021.
